GET OVER IT!

Severus is exclusively breastfed.

Occasionally, he will have a bottle of expressed milk, but it's rarely necessary.

This means, he gets his milk straight from the tap.

And he eats, whenever, and wherever he decides he's hungry.

That means; my baby's needs come FIRST whether we're inside or outside.

And *gasp* 98% of the time, I won't cover up.

Your oh-so-delicate sensibilities won't stop me. Your dirty looks. Your snide remarks.

I'm not at all impacted.

Because this little boy...

...the bond I share with him, and giving him the very best nutrition in this significant time of growth, are all more important than you and your misplaced sexualization of breasts will ever be.

GET OVER IT.

That has been one of the many things you do for your children that has made me the proudest.

Thanks for posting this! Would it have anything to do with my little issue with my now x-friend on Facebook lol. I was sadly unable to BF my son due to him being in the NICU and by the time we had the ok to try BFing my supple was almost completely dried up even with pumping constantly. I just dont understand why people dont understand that its the womens right to choose to cover up or "hide". I think see a mother BF in public is amazing and it shows that she is stronge.

Hi Monique,
I almost did not find you:( You have your profile blocked on Blogger and you did not leave your email address on your post. I actually found you through your twitter. I need to email you regarding the Baby Bond Coulture Nursing Sash giveaway. I also just joined your blog. I just love your pictures with your son. He is so adorable. My son also was in the Nicu for a week after being born and it was such a depressing time for me. I did pump but it is not the same. Any way he is 9 now and that was a long time ago. Keep up the good work with your kids all that matters is that you are a good mom and you feel good doing what you do. Remember the people who have a problem with it are the ones who deep down don't like themselves to begin with. Send me your email to autumnblues@live.com

This post gives me a happy! (: BFing my first didn't work out, unfortunately, and I can't wait to do it with my next one! Such a beautiful thing! ♥
